‘Next generation learning’

The Next Generation Learning Challenges website aims to “address the barriers to educational innovation and tap the potential of technology to dramatically improve college readiness and completion in the United States.”

Sounds interesting. While focussed in the US, it’s very likely that the technology developed there will lead to changes in the rest of the world as well.

Part of their program is to provide grants to organisations that can address a certain challenge. Their ‘Wave II’ challenge was around “next generation approaches to learning content and next generation assessments”. The winners of the grants are listed on the web page below:
